What is your favorite thing about George Fox University?

The people. Since 2003, when I first walked on this campus, I have been overwhelmed by the blessing of being welcomed into this community of incredible people ... professors, students, community members ... they all loved me as family. I built life-changing relationships with absolutely amazing people. Whether it was Marvin and Louise, a couple that lives in the retirement community across the street, who had me over for dinner once a week all through college, the girls on my basketball team, my professors in the classroom, or Robin, our university's president, I daily interacted (and continue to interact) with people who were interested in investing in me and helping me become who the Lord created me to be.

Why are you an admissions counselor at George Fox University?

This place changed me. My four years at GFU — as a student, a teammate, a roommate, a Christ-follower — shaped who I am today. This community had such a huge impact on my life that the opportunity to share my experience with others, in effort to open the door for them to be similarly impacted, is an incredible gift. I am also so thankful for the opportunity to continue being impacted and shaped by this community as an employee of George Fox as well.
