When the opportunity arose for me to work in advancement services in the summer of 2011, I jumped at the chance! I have lived in Newberg for more than 13 years and have been in and around George Fox on many different occasions. I have always thought it would be a great place to work. I believe in the school's mission and vision and am awed by the incredible history of this university. Since being here, the sense of strong community is something that took me by surprise. Everyone has been so friendly, helpful and welcoming.
For me, a typical day at George Fox consists of processing gifts that come into the university, which includes making sure the donor is sent a receipt and a letter telling them some of the recent goings-on around campus. I also oversee maintaining addresses and other personal data, which can be a full-time job!
Outside of work, my family and I enjoy serving in our local church, GodSong. I serve as board president and as a member of a worship team that travels all over Oregon and Alaska with a women's conference team.
