Be Known for the Difference You Make
When you give to the George Fox University Student Fund, you're making a direct impact on the lives of tomorrow’s Christian leaders.
Recent graduate Daniela (Sifuentes) Makowski is a perfect example.
Born in Peru, Daniela came to the U.S. at the age of 12. Her parents worked hard, but couldn’t afford to send her to college. “I knew this (George Fox) is where God wanted me to be,” she says. “I felt God saying, ‘I have something special for you here.’”
Now, just five years later, Daniela is working at her dream job as a mechanical engineer for Columbia Helicopters. Her job is to design improvements that make Columbia’s fleet safer and more efficient, but she also brings to her workplace the strong Christian foundation she received as part of the George Fox engineering program – one of the only programs in the country to require its students to design projects that serve those in need.
The only way Daniela could afford a George Fox education was scholarships. In fact, 80 percent of George Fox students receive financial assistance from the Student Fund through needs- and merit-based scholarships. These students go on to become engineers, nurses, teachers and business professionals, but they all have one thing in common: They’re equipped to share the love of Jesus with a world that desperately needs it.
Will you prayerfully consider the opportunity to invest in students like Daniela?
Your gift to the Student Fund allows us to make a transformational George Fox education possible for even more students so they are equipped to serve and lead in their chosen vocations.
