Oregon Locations

George Fox has a number of campus sites, making the education process more convenient with shorter commutes. In addition to its central Newberg, Ore. campus, the university also provides the Portland Center in Tigard, Ore., near the I-5/217 interchange, and offers classes in Redmond (Central Oregon Community College), Ore., and Salem, Ore. Each site provides full support and service for MAT students.

  • 3 Semesters
  • Classes held weekdays between 8 a.m.- 6 p.m.*
  • MAT Plus ESOL and Reading (not Special Ed) degree candidates take first class the semester prior to the regular start date in June.
  • Application Deadlines: Oct. 1 for MAT Plus ESOL and Reading Full Time; February 1st for Regular MAT and MAT Plus Special Ed Full Time

  • 4 semesters
  • Portland and Salem classes meet one evening per week with approximately one Saturday class per month. (Redmond may meet two to three evenings per week during the fall, with typically two Saturday meetings per month.)

*Full-time format students earning the secondary authorization will take during fall semester one night class meeting once/week at the Portland center campus. There is also one class which goes until 7 p.m.
