Steve Song joined the School of Education in 2010 as an assistant professor. Before his arrival, he taught middle- and high school-aged children at the Amerasian Christian Academy in South Korea. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University College Dublin.
His research interests include immigration, race, ethnicity and international education policy. He earned MEd (2002) and EdD (2007) degrees from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, as well as a bachelor’s degree in education (1995) and a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language (1997) degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
