George Fox offers online, evening and summer classes designed to fulfill the professional development needs of educators in PreK-12 and higher education.

Specializations

Master of Education students choose from seven areas
of specialization:

• Curriculum and instruction
• Educational leadership
• Higher education
• Library media
• Literacy
• Reading
• Secondary education

Each specialization consists of approximately 18 semester hours of courses around a specific content area within education. Many of the specializations lead to an additional endorsement or license for PreK-12 educators in Oregon (transferrable to Washington and other states). They are available in either the MEd program or as stand-alone endorsements.

Licensure

Oregon Administrative Licensure Preparation Program
We offer two Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission-approved programs (transferrable to Washington and other states):

• Initial Administrator License (can be earned through MEd educational leadership specialization)
• Continuing Administrator License

Initial Teaching Licensure Preparation Program

• Initial Teaching License in Library Media
