Mentoring
The Mentoring Institute of George Fox University
The mission of the George Fox University School of Education is to demonstrate the meaning of Jesus Christ by offering a caring educational community in which each individual may achieve the highest intellectual and personal growth and by participating responsibly in the world's concerns. To this end, we are offering mentoring support to Pre K-12 Christian school leaders, potential school leaders, and beginning teachers who work in organizations with similar Christ-centered missions. Our desire is to help support educators who are growing in their professional roles as teachers and leaders in Christian schools. Through a grant provided by the Murdock Charitable Trust, these services will be offered at no cost to the individual and the school.
Specific objectives of the Christian School Leadership program include:
- Deliver program design and consultancy services to individual regional Christian schools;
- Identify and prepare mentors to serve in the program;
- Identify and serve school leaders, potential school leaders and beginning teachers through mentoring services;
- Establish a resource center for Christian school educators' professional development.
