Confirmation Hold Information

This page provides information on registration/confirmation holds for each office and what actions may be necessary to resolve those holds. Please look at the information below organized by each office responsible for administering each particular hold and the corresponding hold code as displayed on Bruindata (once you are logged in go to the My Data tab and load the Personal Information menu item to review any holds to your account).

Student Financial Services

• FW-Student Financial Warning

• Following the payment deadline, this hold indicates that the anticipated payment, based on the Payment Selection Form (PSF), was not received. To resolve this hold please complete the Payment Selection Form, if you have not done so already, and make payment in person upon arrival to campus. (Please be sure to bring a signed copy of your PSF with you.)

• FQ-Student Financial Hold

• This hold indicates that there is a prior term unresolved financial issue with your student account. Because of this issue all registration activity ahs been suspended (you will not be able to add or drop classes until this is resolved). To resolve this hold, payment is now due for the prior period as well as payment for the coming semester. If you are planning to return to GFU this semester, please remit this payment in person.

• FZ-Student Financial Notice-Pending Action Required

• This notification indicates that something "financial" is needed for the coming year but you are not being held in the confirmation process. Instead, please stop by the SFS office during the first month of the semester.

Health and Counseling

• MQ-Measles Registration Hold

• This hold indicates that you have apparently not provided information to George Fox to document your measles immunization record as is required according to Oregon state law. Because of this issue all registration activity has been suspended (you will not be able to add or drop classes until this is resolved). To resolve this hold please contact the Health and Counseling Center at 503-554-2340.

Student Life

• LC-Student Life Warning-Contact Chapel

• This hold indicates that you have apparently not provided adequate documentation to Student Life of chapel attendance for your previous term at George Fox. To resolve this hold please contact the Student Life Office at 503-554-2316.

• LH-Student Life Warning-Contact Housing

• This hold indicates that the Student Life Office is apparently missing information for you regarding your housing assignment this coming semester. To resolve this hold please contact the Student Life Office at 503-554-2311.

• LM-Student Life Warning-Contact Meal Plan

• This hold indicates that you apparently still need to specify the type of meal plan you intend to use for this coming semester. To resolve this hold please contact the Student Life Office at 503-554-2316.

• LB-Student Life Warning-Chapel and Meal Plan

• This hold indicates that you have apparently not provided adequate documentation to Student Life of both chapel attendance for your previous term at George Fox nor specified the type of meal plan for this coming semester. To resolve this hold please contact the Student Life Office at 503-554-2316.

• LQ-Student Life Registration Hold

• This hold indicates that there is an issue that must be resolved with the Student Life Office before you will be allowed to continue enrollment for a future semester. Because of this issue all registration activity has been suspended (you will not be able to add or drop classes until this is resolved). To resolve this hold please contact the Student Life Office at 503-554-2316.

Financial Aid

• AD-Financial Aid Warning-Documents Needed

• This hold indicates that there is one or more missing item required to complete your financial aid file and/or a missing Payment Selection Form (PSF). Please bring the missing items, as indicated on your last "Reminder Letter," to campus when you come to confirm. Due to the delay of this information, you will need to confirm in person.

• AW-Financial Aid Warning

• This hold indicates your Financial Aid Counselor needs to review your file with you prior to confirmation. The anticipated time needed for this review will require an appointment with your SFS Financial Aid Counselor. Please email your counselor to set up an appointment. Confirmation will be delayed until issues are resolved. Please bring all pending documents and payments with you when you come to your appointment. Appointments are available prior to Thursday, August 24th and after Monday, August 28th.

• AQ-Financial Aid Hold

• This hold indicates that significant unresolved financial aid issues are present. Please contact your SFS Financial Aid Counselor.

• AZ-Student Financial Aid-Pending Action Required

• This notification indicates that something related to financial aid is needed for the coming year but you are not being held in the confirmation process. Instead, please stop by the SFS office during the first month of the semester.

Registrar's Office

• HQ-Medical Clearance Required

• This hold indicates that the university needs documentation from your medical practitioner releasing you to return to school. Because of this issue all registration activity has been suspended (you will not be able to add or drop classes until this is resolved). To resolve this hold please bring the appropriate documentation to the Registrar's Office or have your physician email the documentation to registrar@.

• GQ-Missing Application for Degree Hold

• This hold indicates that you have reached a high number of hours completed at the university but have not completed an Application for Degree specifying your intended semester of graduation. This information is necessary so we can review your degree audit to determine if there are any corrections that must be made prior to your final semester. To resolve this hold please complete an Application for Degree and return it to the Registrar's Office.

• RQ-Registrar's Office Hold

• This hold indicates that there is apparently updated information needed from you regarding your registration status for the coming semester. Because of this issue all registration activity has been suspended (you will not be able to add or drop classes until this is resolved). To resolve this hold please contact the Registrar's Office at 503-554-2210 or via email.
