George Fox women's golf team ranked No. 1 in the West

The George Fox women's golf team is ranked No. 1 in the West among DIII schools.The George Fox women's golf team is rated the best Division III women's golf team in the West, according to the latest NCAA poll.

After completing the fall portion of their 2011-12 season with a 13-stroke win over Whitman in the Northwest Conference Fall Classic, the Bruins are the highest-ranked team in Division III Region 5 (West) and have moved up from eighth to seventh in the latest Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association NCAA Division III women’s national rankings.

Regionally, the Bruins are No. 1, followed by Mary Hardin-Baylor, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Whitman, Texas-Tyler and Redlands. The comprehensive poll is available here.
