Shane Claiborne, Chris Lahr visit George Fox Feb. 14

Shane ClaiborneTwo guests from The Simple Way community in Philadelphia will visit George Fox University to speak in chapel at 10:40 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, in Bauman Auditorium on the school’s Newberg, Ore., campus. The public is invited to attend.

A prominent Christian activist, Claiborne travels extensively speaking about peacemaking, social justice and Jesus. Claiborne’s message often speaks to the tragic messes we’ve made of this world and the tangible hope that another world is possible.

Lahr is on the board of directors at The Simple Way. He also works with Mission Year, a program that allows Christian young adults to live in an urban neighborhood volunteering at a service site and partnering with a local church. Lahr is an academic director and recruiter for Mission Year.
