George Fox art students paint car in one hour
Ten students from the visual arts program at George Fox University got a chance to show their stuff in a contest sponsored by automaker Scion and Portland alternative radio station 94/7.
The Challenge: Paint a Scion car in one hour to reflect the theme “It’s different here.”
The Competition: Teams of students from The Art Institute of Portland and Mt. Hood Community College. See the competition’s work.
The Winner: George Fox University. A panel of Scion and 94/7 judges selected the George Fox car based upon artwork, teamwork and their success in expressing the theme.
The Winnings: A private session on campus with a popular 94/7 band.
