George Fox quadSchool ranks high on list of ‘best schools for non-drinkers’ and ‘top drug-free campuses’

George Fox University is rated among the nation’s “20 Healthiest Colleges” according to The Daily Beast, a Webby-award-winning national news website “dedicated to breaking news and sharp commentary,” according to site editors.

The rankings were based on College Prowler ratings of the “best schools for non-drinkers,” the “top drug-free campuses,” and the “healthiest campus dining options.” More than 1,300 colleges were evaluated in the rankings.

George Fox ranked No. 20 overall, earning particularly high ratings in the “best schools for non-drinkers” (No. 32) and “top drug-free campuses” (No. 26) categories. The Newberg, Ore., Christian college scored an 8.23 on a scale of 10 in the former category and a 9.0 on the latter. Scores were tabulated and the highest averages in the three criteria landed in the top-20 list.

The Daily Beast (thedailybeast.com) is the winner of two consecutive Webby awards for “Best News” site and regularly attracts more than 15 million unique online visitors a month.
