Oregon Explorers Tour
POLICIES

Thank you for your interest in joining us for the Oregon Explorers Tour (OET) for high school counselors! We are excited to showcase what George Fox University, Linfield College, Pacific University, and the University of Oregon have to offer your students. Please read carefully through the OET policies prior to completing the registration form.

General Requirements

  • The program and accommodations are for invited guests only. Companions of participants must secure their own transportation, lodging, meals and amenities. Time with travel companions must be during non-OET program dates and hours.
  • Due to space limitations, we allow only one counselor registation per high school.
  • Participants not using OET provided transportation are still required to be present for ALL OET sessions, events and meals on each OET campus.
  • Participants are required to provide a reliable cell phone number.
Event Dates
  • Sunday, June 19 through Thursday, June 23, 2011. Full participation is required so please arrange for non-OET activities to take place pre- and post-OET event dates and times.
  • You must register by March 18, 2011 to secure your space. You may cancel without penalty prior to booking air transportation. Once you have booked your air transportation, a financial penalty will incur should you cancel.
Travel
  • Round-trip air transportation will be covered (utilizing the Portland International Airport-PDX). You should schedule your flight to arrive well before noon on June 19. All guests will be greeted at the airport. Our charter bus and your tour hosts will depart the Portland International Airport at 1:00 pm sharp. In the event that you cannot secure air transportation that will arrive prior to noon on June 19, you may choose to fly to Portland on June 18 (please see "NOTE" below). At the conclusion of our program at the University of Oregon all guests will be transported back to PDX for flights scheduled the afternoon of June 23.
  • All flights must be booked exclusively through Maureen Roemmick at McMinnville Travel no later than April 1, 2011.
  • A major credit card (VISA or Mastercard) number and expiration date are required at time of booking. Your credit card will be billed ONLY if you cancel the tour after booking air transportation.
  • Round-trip air transportation from home airport to PDX only. Cost for additional destinations paid by participant.
  • We cannot submit frequent flyer numbers when booking your tickets, however, you may submit them the airlines when checking in for your flight.
NOTE: Flight expenses will be covered for participants arriving on June 18. Other incidental expenses will not be covered until the official start of the program at the time of bus pick up - 1:00 pm on June 19, 2011.
