Program Overview
The Washington Journalism Center is sponsored by the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU)and is an advanced, experiential semester to cultivate professional news skills. It is designed to help students think through the implications of being a Christian working in the news media in a city that is home to the powerful and powerless, Washington, DC.
Courses include: Foundations for Media Involvement; Reporting in Washington; and Washington, News, and Public Discourse. Students spend about 25 hours a week getting hands-on experience in writing, while being mentored by a program staff member.
