Veritas in Paris, France

The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France

Program Overview
This program is offered in collaboration with Veritas Christian Study Abroad at the American Busines School of Paris and Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris, France. Paris is one of the great citites of the world with its unique history and French traditions still very alive today. Known for housing buildings recognized around the world, pieces of art, and food, Paris is a city you will never forget.

Students are required to take a Renaissance and Reformation Europe course and an International Missions Practicum taught by local Veritas staff and three to four other courses from the American Business School of Paris.  See the courses for example classes.

While studying in Paris the student will have several opportunities for excurions including at multi-day trips to Normand and the Lorire Valley and a trip to Ile De France.  There will also be an optional opportunity to Morroco.

The student will fill out two applications:
• George Fox off-campus application form
• Veritas Christian Study Abroad application* (An application fee must accompany your application)
* The Veritas Christian Study Abroad application should only be completed after being informed from the Director of Study Abroad that you are accepted for an off-campus study semester.

Students must be full-time undergraduates with junior or senior status, holding a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply. There is NO language requirement.

Because students remain enrolled at George Fox University while participating with Veritas, academic credit is awarded by George Fox. Students will typically take 16 credit hours. Students will be required to attend two pre-departure meetings, complete an online course evaluation, and attend a re-entry meeting upon their return. Students must see the transfer credit specialist in the registrar's office BEFORE they begin their semester off-campus.

All Veritas students linve in homestays which includes breakfast for seven days a week, dinner for five days a week, and laundry service once a week.  Typically students will share a room with another Veritas student.   Single rooms are  available for an extra fee.

The student pays George Fox's standard tuition, room and board, and student fees (an additional fee is required to attend some programs). Participants continue to receive financial aid, including scholarships, since they are officially George Fox students. Round trip airfare is additional.
