George Fox University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, and by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission for the preparation of teachers and administrators in specific fields. It is approved by the United States government and the states of Oregon and Idaho for the education of veterans, and by the U.S. attorney general for the admission of international students. George Fox Evangelical Seminary is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Counseling and marriage and family therapy degrees fulfill all the educational requirements for licensure by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. Doctor of psychology (Psy.D.) degrees fulfill all the educational requirements for licensure by the Oregon Board of Psychology Examiners and for listing in the National Council of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
