Adjunct Instructor of Mandarin

George Fox University seeks an instructor for Mandarin courses for the 2015-16 academic year.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Teaching one course per term of beginning Mandarin, with emphasis on oral proficiency.

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Mandarin, English, TESOL or related field preferred.  Applicants with a relevant bachelor’s degree plus experience teaching Mandarin will be considered. 
  • Native speaker or Superior level speaker per ACTFL required.
  • Teaching experience required; experience with second-language learners preferred.
  • Familiarity with ACTFL proficiency guidelines, ability to provide consistent and timely feedback to students required.
