George Fox University seeks a Sociology instructor for the 2015-16 academic year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide classroom instruction of one section of Principles of Sociology during spring term (January – early May). Using text selected by department, prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts. Integrate Christian faith into classroom discussions. Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers in a timely manner. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions. Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records, and record these in university system in a timely manner. Schedule office hours for individual instruction as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Sociology or related field required. 
  • Teaching experience at the college level preferred.
