Trip Descriptions

Portland with Home PDX: Spend a week in downtown Portland serving and learning from those who live outdoors.  We will be partnering with several outreach ministries (such as Transitional Projects and Sister of the Road) to see how each is reaching out to the community.  We will be serving the homeless directly with food and supplies and get a chance to hear their struggles and stories.

Twin Rocks: You like the beach?  If so, this is the trip for you!  This is a disciple-based trip on which Rusty St. Cyr will be discipling Spil Leaders and anyone else who has a heart for leading small groups (Lyfe Group Leaders-strongly encouraged to come).  Come ready to fellowship with peers, spend time with Jesus, experience personal growth, and serve Twin Rocks Friends Camp with projects and cleaning that will help them prepare for the upcoming camp year.

Puyallup and Seattle with One Another Foundation: The main focus of our service would be in working with local Puyallup ministries helping with various project that benefit homeless and low income in the city. Volunteering would happen through existing organizations such as food banks, clothing banks, homeless shelter, a youth drop in center, etc.  Service in Seattle and, or Tacoma is also expected.  Expect to grow and learn with others in many different projects and atmospheres: some physical and some social.

Colorado Flood Relief with Forward Edge:  In response to the major flooding that occurred in Colorado this last month, we will be sending a team to help families and organizations clean up towns and assist in any way, shape or form.  If you have a heart for adventure and assistance, this trip is for you!
