Discussion
9.6 Bon fire Pit  – Sara
Sara had discussion with Clyde in plant services.
Options:
Leave what is there, no cost
Use Ceramics pit, this would work if ASC proposed to use it when they wanted to and get it approved
Build a pit by Carey, will not work because it is in flood zone and will not be allowed to be built
New Ideas:
Buid a pit somewhere else

Build a covered pit close to the canyon-covered area (gazebo like) wood and fire starting materials can be stored in a wooden box here-AC's could have key to locked box, so that residents could get access, reservations etc.
-probably no walls, just top cover
Options for location:
Volleyball court/ Wilder House area; Weisner House or Fulton House (but worried about sound at night), Gail House (but this area could be changeing eventually)
Estimate price cost for a 30 x 30 structure would cost $27,000.00-plant services would do it and we wouldn't have to contract out
Finance options: Student Project Fund; Surplus Fund and a mesh of other funds
Safety and Liablility: no present issues seem to be arise.  Check in with insurance costs.  But faculty that has been discussing this has not been worried about these issues.
9.7 Water Fountain —Dana
9.8 Lawn Furniture—Dana
9.9 Free Rice Contest Idea– Joey
FreeRice.com--you play a quizzical type game answering questions and for every question you get right this organization donates 10 grains of rice to the UN World Hunger program--What if we did this as a living area competition?  Rob suggested having various classes covering the different topics i.e. vocabulary, history etc.  We can advertise this through E-annoucments, but if we incorporate it in the curriculum we can advertise it through even more sources.  Making a Free Rice Week-computers available in Sub, Res. Life get involved.  Event every night that week, to get people involved and monitor activity. Maybe provide food for this through community fund and make it a lobby event
