Sara: committees going well, Little Bruin Party this week. Last week for Urban and James

Annie: Website should be updated and new format before the end of this semester, so editing issues on Noteworthy News

Andrew: committee some things to work on, Shalom this week and last one for the semester

Dana: Homecoming stuff in process and planning, Soph. class event happened last week

Krissy: Doesn't remember her weekend....attended a conference last week

Sara: Three events last week.  Splat and Splash was planned really well, but lacked participants.  Christmas Celebration went well along with the movie night.  This week ticket sales for Winter Formal. 

Joey: Late Night Breakfast next Monday.  Looking for Mr. Bruin coordinator  Meeting this week about the Bon Fire Pit

Liz: Ping Pong tournament next  Monday in the FoxHole.  Winner gets old Foxhole T.V.  People should be getting paid next week. Concert in the Foxhole on Tues.  

Jess: Committee going good.  Joel installed new power amps in the system.  Sound guys are dedicated and doing well.  Trying to get the new forms in for Student Organizations.  Still working on Student Organizations website.  

Rob: The Crescent and Darkroom staff has some issues, but are being resolved.  The committee heads are doing great.  Last issue of the Crescent comes out this week.

12.6        KFOX Equipment Proposal – Rob

Proposal: equipment for KFOX to improve their sound quality $599.00

Rationale: poor sound quality is a large reason according to a student survey that people don't listen to KFox.  Ordering from IT saves $194

Discussion: Should approx. last 3-4 years.

            Proposal: Give $200 to JJ Heller fro Kaleo

            Rationale: This money would come from contingency fund. Kaleo is for not just Fox students, but also outside groups and people.  JJ Heller could also play at Shalom

12.9        Proposed Student Organization – Jess

Proposal: ASC Renewal and approval of student organizations

Rationale: A student organization needs to fit within the George Fox lifestyle values.  They must show conitnued student interest. 

Discussion:We are approving their renewal for this year to be a club.Sigma Zeta-approved, International Club-approved, College Republicans-approved

12.10     Blueprint for Diversity Feedback – Joey

What does ASC think of creating a diversity position for students.  Would this Multi-cultural leader be under Vice President?  Maybe head of multi-cultural club. Could be an elected or selected positon.   -postion could entail: sitting on committees i.e. Diversity committee, regional conferences, retreats, partners with ASC, being a voice for the multi-cultural clubs, Multi-cultural week involvment, MLK day, team up with class reps., be on the supreme court.  Break-out of various multi-cultural groups.  Aim is to give a voice to those who don't yet feel they have one at George Fox.
