6.5 Campus Representatives Committee: Commuter Representative Proposal– Ja. Vanier

Proposal: Constitutional amendment; two commuter representatives

    • With 650 Commuters, we need more representation

6.6 Community Life Fund: Crepe Night – Ja.Vanier

Proposal: PCWB Crepe Night $17

Discussion:

-       Outcomes

    • Res Life
    • Justin likes crepes
    • Great knowing how many people actually showed up (proposal was exception to the rule because event already happened)

-       Decisions

    • Glad Wilcuts is having events

-       Actions

    • Approve money spent

6.7 Community Life Fund: Hamburger Night – Ja. Vanier

Proposal: Hamburgers for commuters before Main Event $173.51

Discussion:

    • Res Life budget

            -Decisions

    • Most commuters don’t want to be engaged
    • They will come because it’s before Main Event
    • There’s plenty of sophomore and junior commuters

            -Actions

    • Check Facebook page for people planning on attending

6.8 Community Life Fund: Commuter Soup lunch

Proposal: Commuter Life event; Faculty story and soup lunch $75-112.50

Discussion:

            -Outcomes

    • Already approved Main Event Commuter hamburgers
    • We should make people RSVP
    • Figure out who is speaking

            -Decisions

    • You can do this without involving the Bon and in the cap and gown, put it at someone house

            -Actions

    • Set up a meeting with commuters to go over proposals and guidelines

Proposal: Trip to the beach - $92.14

Discussion: The cost per person was still about the $5 bar that was set initially.

    • The event went over $5/person.
    • Less than the reported 21 actually attended the event

            -Decisions

    • Should not approve. Was over $5 limit.

            -Actions

6.10 Bruin Directory: Cutting Bruin Directory: M. Nakashimada

Proposal: Cutting the Bruin Directory

Discussion:

            -Outcomes

    • Sent out survey, small percentage of people found it useful
    • Save ASC $4270

-Decisions

    • The online Bruin Directory is much more helpful

-Actions

    • Doesn’t affect students, only helps student
    • Cut the Bruin Directory

Proposal: Having one graduation or two

            -Want to watch everyone walk

            -Needs to be one graduation
