COMMITTEE UPDATES

21.1 CALL TO ORDER 4:58PM

21.2 ROLL CALL: All are present including S. St. Cyr

21.3 PRAYER: J. Vanier

NEW BUSINESS

21.4: Student Organizations: Budget: M. Tarpley

Proposal: Disk Golf club wants to shift money from retreats to jerseys

Discussion:

-       Outcomes

-       Decisions

  • They have a spot to store club gear

-       Actions

  • Jerseys are not for personal use, should be stored on campus over the summer

21.5 Student Organizations: Budget: M. Tarpley

Proposal: $1080 for Mu Kappa Club budget

Discussion:

-       Outcomes

  • Just making changes from before
  • Retreat budget increased, they had to find a different location
  • More members involved, they need more funding

-       Decisions

-       Actions

21.6 Academic Pursuit Fund: Proposal: M. Tarpley

Proposal: $785 for five students to attend a senior nursing trip to Kenya for two weeks

Discussion:

-       Outcomes

-       Decisions

  • Safety issues
  • Insurance from the school?
  • S. Fisher is a teach from the school traveling with them, will be a great trip

-       Actions

21.7 Post Fox: Proposal: J. Vanier

Proposal: $1000 for ASC to partner with Post Fox on an event

Discussion:

-       Outcomes

  • We contributed last year

-       Decisions

  • Concerned we funding if they don’t know their budget
  • How can we advocate for them?
  • Are they doing a nice dinner? Why are students paying for tickets?

-       Actions

  • They should partner with IDEA Center
  • We can talk with them about pursuing other options and then ASC as last resort
