COMMITTEE UPDATES

9.1 CALL TO ORDER 5:05 PM

9.2 ROLL CALL: All are present including S. St. Cyr

9.3 PRAYER: J. Vanier

NEW BUSINESS

9.4 Budget: Stipend Proposal: M. Tarpley

Proposal: Increase E. Caudillo stipend by $1000

Discussion:

-       Outcomes

  • We left the conversation abruptly

-       Decisions

  • Talking about his role/maybe being on Central Committee will be a later discussion point
    • We would need to create a position that was sustainable and long-lasting
      • Not just specific for this one individual
      • MarComm is huge; it would make sense to split it to have more representation on CC
        • KFOX, Crescent & Student Collective are very self-sufficient
        • VP MarComm is more of a gateway
      • Is there anyway of bringing E. Caudillo on CC without splitting MarComm?
        • Split creative and marketing? Creation & Implementation
        • Anything creative coming from ASC would be going through the Creative Director
      • Bringing in guests to hear their opinion on topics
        • That could turn into a biased conversation
        • It’d be great to have subcommittee meetings
        • More representation to represent committees instead of just one person
      • How do we make everything better?
        • Split MarComm
        • J. Nuzum over Marketing
        • Student Collective, KFOX, Crescent under a Creative Director
        • Creative Director and VP Marketing would be on CC working together and they would breathe into the aesthetics and image of ASC and getting news out to students
      • More discussion outside of this meeting before finalizing a proposal about the restructure of MarComm
