DISCUSSION

-          Bringing empowerment on campus

  • Social media post with hashtag like #IAmMore or something where people can stand up for themselves
  • Sociology department might be able to help
  • Would probably be best to create a focus group now, and create something great for next year
    • We could include the Student Collective
    • Maybe get input from Common Ground
    • We should definitely use the clubs that we already have
      • But we don’t only have a women’s group
      • Or a men’s group!
      • Mr. Bruin
        • Need to find more contestants or it wont happen
        • Reps Meetings
          • Reps have been doing separate meetings as a trial
          • Unanimous don’t like the split of the funds amongst the different types of reps
          • They’re better together
        • Subcommittee positions
          • Applications are closed
          • Let’s hire well
          • Only include the appropriate people in interviews
            • Always include S. St. Cyr, Z. Larsen, or M. Peterson
            • Ask for help if you need it
            • We have a hiring guide
            • Pull interview questions out of job description
        • MarComm
          • L. Pekkola will be stepping down from the 2016-2017 VP MarComm Central Committee position
          • Open applications
            • It wouldn’t be fair to not open the application to the public
            • Constitutionally, the President presents someone to Central Committee as a new hire
              • Don’t think this actually applies because the new team is not currently in office
              • Needs to be fixed in the election
                • Technically because he’s not elected, he denied the appointment, the second runner up will be elected
                • VP MarComm was unopposed
                • John Cena cannot be our next VP MarComm
                • Potential from one of the ASC Graphic Designers
                • Open interviews this week
                • Internal ASC options are very good options but we need to honor the system and keep it open to everyone
                • If K. Webster wasn’t a part of ASC, he would roast them hard if they didn’t keep applications open to everyone
                • Applications will be open Wednesday morning-Sunday evening
        • Budget Proposals
