George Fox University 2009 Graduates and Dean's List

George Fox University's spring 2009 commencement ceremonies took place Saturday, May 2, in Miller Gymnasium on the Newberg, Ore., campus. A total of 339 students participated in the 2 p.m. undergraduate ceremony, and 333 took part in the 7 p.m. ceremony for graduate, seminary and professional studies students. Steven G.W. Moore, executive director of the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, was the guest speaker at both ceremonies.

The university also has released the names of Dean's List recipients for the 2009 spring semester. Below are the graduation and Dean's List recipients, organized by state and, alphabetically, by hometown.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must earn a 3.5 grade point average for at least one term.

More than 3,200 students attend classes on the university’s campus in Newberg, Ore., and at teaching centers in Portland, Salem, and Redmond Ore., and Boise, Idaho. George Fox offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 40 majors, degree-completion programs for working adults, five seminary degrees, and 12 master’s and doctoral degrees.
