START DATE: August 15, 2008 QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Registered Nurse with Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Licensed (or licensed eligible) to practice nursing in the State of Oregon. Strong administrative and communication skills are essential. Current CPR certification. Work experience in a medical clinic or a university or school setting helpful. Evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the university’s mission as described on our website. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist nurse practitioner in medical diagnosis, treatment and referrals. Provide assessment, first aid, and referral to local physicians, hospitals, county health clinics and the campus counseling center when the nurse practitioner is unavailable. Contribute to the smooth, efficient operation of the health and counseling services. Manage all aspects of the travel clinic for students and employees. Cooperate with residence life staff and other university departments in dealing with health related concerns and issues on campus. Organize and implement health education seminars as opportunities arise. Other duties as assigned.
