Automatically Update Windows

Note: For employees on the campus-wide system, these options are greyed out - the computer automatically is updated.

For Windows XP

First, Right-click on the My Computer icon. From here, click on properties as seen in 1. Select the 'Automatic Updates' tab seen in 2. Here you can select to have your computer check for updates and install them automatically (3.).

For Windows 2000

On the Start bar, go to settings and click on the control panel (1.). Next, double click on the 'Automatic Updates' icon (2.). Here you can select to have your computer check for updates and install them automatically (3.).
