Wireless Printing for Windows

You can only install and run these items over the wireless networks. They will not be available from off campus.

  1. Install the PaperCut client (This will need to be running before sending a job to a printer).
  2. Install the printer.
  3. Collect the print job.

To install the PaperCut client

  1. Click the start button and open up the My Documents folder to get to Windows Explorer. Start.jpg
  2. In the Windows Explorer window, enter file:////print-svr.georgefox.edu into the address bar and hit enter. Explore.jpg
  3. Double click on the PCClient folder and then the win folder to get to the screen below. Client.jpg
  4. Double click client-local-install.exe and click Run. Run.jpg
  5. Click Next... Next1.jpg
  6. Next... Next2.jpg
  7. Next... Next
  8. Next... Next4.jpg
  9. Install! Install.jpg
  10. Installing... Installing.jpg
  11. Be sure the box is checked and click Finish. Finish.jpg
  12. Enter the username and password you use to log in to MyGFU and Bruinmail. Login.jpg
  13. A box will open up that shows your current printing balance. Balance.jpg

The PaperCut client is now installed! Now, to install the printer...

  1. Click Start, My Documents.

  1. In the Windows Explorer window, enter file:////print-svr.georgefox.edu into the address bar and hit enter. Explore.jpg
  2. Double click allprint. You will get a warning about installing the printer...we are not out to harm you. Warning.jpg
  3. Once this box pops up, the printer is done installing. You can close it. Done.jpg

The printer is now installed! Now to print...

  1. Click File, Print. Be sure allprint is selected as the printer to print to and then click Print Print1.jpg
  2. PaperCut will prompt you to log in. Do so using your username and password you use for MyGFU and select how long you want to stay logged in. Print2.jpg
  3. Your computer will tell you this... Print3.jpg
  4. You can now go to the closest printer, swipe your card and follow the on-screen instructions to print your document. Congratulations! You have successfully printed from your personal computer!
