How to Connect from Off Campus

For those living off campus, you will need to acquire your own Internet service, either by dial-up modem, DSL, cable modem, or another means. Your local phone book will list available companies under "Internet Service Providers."

Once you are connected to the Internet, the following services can be accessed from off campus (these are direct links):

  • Google E-Mail - our email system.
  • MyGFU - our portal for student records and information.
  • FoxTALE - online material for courses.

For employees only, we have Virtual Private Networks (VPN). This allows broadband connections (DSL or cable modem) to act as if the home computer is on campus, enabling you to access files on your work computer. Download the VPN software and documentation from your MyGFU home page.
