Purchase and download information on Mycopy books from Springer
GFU libraries license over 20,000 e-books from SpringerLink, which is available from the Database A-Z list. The license agreement offers the following opportunities to you and your students:
- purchasing a print copy of an e-book
- informing students of the print copy option
- downloading a chapter of an ebook without charge
- sending a free chapter of an ebook to a student
- click on the link "Buy a print copy" (see screenshot below)
- enter name, credit card and address
Stipulations:
- one copy per patron
- copies cannot go to a library
- not for re-sale
To inform students of the print copy option:
- click on the "Share" link and select the email option to send a link to the book (see screenshot below)
- suggest that your students click the “Guest” button rather than siging up for an account
- provide them with the information above on the purchasing and stipulations
To download a chapter of an e-book without charge:
- click on the "Download PDF" link
To send a free chapter of an e-book to a student:
- right-click the “Download PDF” link
- select “Copy Link Location”
- email the link
If you email this link to a student or colleague they will be able to download the chapter in PDF format. Springerlink automatically authorizes the download through IP range or proxy.
