Using Interlibrary Loan

Points of access:

1.  From the library Website

  • Look in the left hand navigation on the left side of the library website
  • Login to your account with your MyGFU username and password
  • Choose the type of material that you are requesting:  article or book
  • Fill in the highlighted fields of the request form and submit it when you are finished
  • You will see a confirmation screen at this time

2.  At the end of your full-text search in the databases

  • If there is no link to a full-text document then select the link that will check for full-text
  • Click on the Interlibrary Loan request link for the type of material that you are requesting: article or book
  • Login to your account with your MyGFU username and password
  • Fill in the highlighted fields of the request form and submit it when you are finished
  • You will see a confirmation screen at this time

What happens next?

You will promptly receive an email confirming that your request has been accepted.

Most ILL requests are filled in 24-48 business hours.  ILL business hours do not include weekends or holidays.

You will receive an email when your requested material arrives.

Using ILL for books

Only submit an Interlibrary Loan request for a book that you cannot find in the FoxTrax or Summit catalogs.
