Reserves

The reserves system at George Fox University libraries allows students to read required materials for a particular class. Faculty members may place either their own personal copy or a library item on reserve. They may also place copies of journal articles or certain forms of media such as DVD's on reserve.

To place materials on reserve, fill out the Reserve Request Form and return it with your materials to the Circulation Desk in the Murdock Learning Resource Center or the Portland Center Library, depending on your chosen location. Please be aware that the library must follow reserve copyright policies. In many instances the library will be able to digitize short articles or documents and make them available through our electronic reserves system. When possible we will link to full text journal articles available through licensed databases. Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for processing of reserves; a week at the beginning of the semester.

Students can identify what is on reserve for a particular class by choosing Course Reserves from the top menu bar in Foxtrax, the library's online catalog.
