To send free SMS text messages via AIM in iPhone or iPod Touch:
- Download and install the free AIM client for iPhone from the App Store, either in iTunes or iPhone.
- Sign in using your existing AOL, AIM, .mac or MobileMe name, or register for a free screen name right from your device.
- Send your text message to “foxreference”
Information
- This service is good for asking quick, simple questions that can be answered in short responses (160 characters or less). Questions that require longer responses should be directed to one of the other services (IM, email, or telephone) found on the Ask Us section of the library web page.
- Text messages will come to the library reference desk as instant messages via our Meebo and Google Chat accounts. Librarians are available to respond to text messages during reference desk hours. We will always do our best to respond to your text message as quickly as possible.
- By sending a text message to this Library service, you give permission to George Fox University Libraries to reply to your text message.
