Graduation Resources for Undergrads
Application for Degree
Undergraduate students should file an Application for Degree form no later than completion of 93 semester hours toward your degree (normally two semesters before expected graduation). You can submit the application to the registrar's office.
Adult Degree students should submit the Application for Degree - Adult Degree Program.
Commencement ceremonies take place in twice a year at the Newberg campus, at the end of fall and spring semester, and once a year in Boise, each June. For more details please refer to the Commencement website.
Exodus Grad Fair
Exodus is a great time to check in with all the departments about your upcoming graduation. If all your requirements are complete, you will be able to pick up your regalia and more at Exodus.
Expedited Degree Conferral
Conferring your degree may take up to six weeks after your final grades are posted. Many students need to have their degree conferred before this usual timeline for licensing purposes. We encourage you to contact your professors to see if they can input your grades as soon as possible. While you are waiting for your grades to be submitted you may order an official transcript to be processed after your degree is conferred. Following through on this earlier will keep you from having to pay the rushed transcript fee. Once you can view your grades in MyGFU, submit an expedited degree conferral request form with a $25 payment to the Registrar's office. This will guarantee your degree will be conferred by the end of the next business day.
Graduation announcements can be ordered online through Jostens.
