Semester Registration Changes

Important Changes to Registration Each Semester

In an effort to expedite the registration process and minimize class waiting lists, students will be charged a $25 Registration Change Fee for any registration changes made on Thursday, Jan. 10, or later. There is no charge for registration changes prior to that day.

The charge is implemented to discourage students from registering for a class and then dropping it after the start of the semester which often prevents registration by students who truly need the class. In addition, late registration makes it difficult for the university to plan for adequate course sections to meet enrollment demands.

The registrar's office will make every effort to update class waiting lists in a timely manner, and we hope this policy change will encourage final class selection prior to the start of the semester. As always, office representatives will be available throughout the year to assist you with registration changes or answer any questions you may have.
