Registration Resources for Returning StudentsRegistration for May term will begin during March. Be watching your email for important information. Registration appointments for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 will begin Thursday, March 13 and end Thursday, March 20. Registration appointments are determined based on total hours completed to date since students approaching graduation have fewer class and section options from which to select. More information on registration is available via the links below. You will be able find your assigned registration appointment once you login to BruinData. Your assigned time should show up on the announcement bar at the top of the home page. Why Registration Appointments? Registration for undergraduate students is based on an assigned appointment time. These appointments are determined by the total number of hours you have completed to date in addition to hours for which you are currently registered (through spring 2008). These hours include transfer coursework we have received and evaluated (you can check your accepted transfer credits on BruinData). Appointment times for Fall 2008/Spring 2009 registration start Thursday, March 13 and end Thursday, March 20. Each appointment time is limited to 30 minutes from 8:30am-6:30pm (no registration appointments occur during chapel times). About a dozen students have been assigned to each appointment period. We do this to limit the registration activity to a manageable amount due to our server limitations (if you have ever tried to login at the beginning of an appointment you will understand why). We do have sufficient server hardware but the registration process is incredibly intensive. When is Registration Free Time? Registration from 8:30am-6:30pm is limited to those whose registration appointments fall within those times. However, those whose registration appointment has already passed will be able to make changes (or register for the first time if you missed your appointment) from 6:30pm-midnight each day and 8:30am-midnight over the weekend. Are Registration Tutorials Available? We have developed a number of online tutorials that you can view to help you walk through your degree audit (as well as other functions) on BruinData. These tutorials are accessible via the tutorial website. We continue to add other tutorials as they are available so be sure to bookmark the page.
