BLS AHA Certified (Health Professional ONLY) - For Recertification ONLY

A flexible alternative to classroom training, this course uses case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos to teach basic life support.

ELearning courses are delivered in three parts. Courses that only involve cognitive learning can be completed online in one part. For courses that contain psychomotor skills such as CPR, students must complete an in-person "skills session" in addition to online learning. A skills session is comprised of Part 2, skills practice, and Part 3, skills testing are sold separately and must be completed within 60 days of completing the online Part 1. This three-part delivery effectively blends cognitive learning with skills training. Students are not able to experience the delivery of physical skills from a PC, so eLearning is only as effective as the skills training provided.

Skills sessions are not included with the purchase of an online (Part 1) course key. For admission into a skills session, students must email Part 1 Certificate of Completion to Mark Stone at mastone@georgefox.edu before signing up for Parts 2 and 3 also present it to the AHA Instructor.

After you successfully complete all 3 required parts, you will receivean AHA Basic Life Support course completion card, valid for two years.

COST: $22 (Part 1 - Online Class) + $20 (Part 2 & 3 - Classroom Skills session and Test)

C-CERT Training

In an effort to make it easier for more people to participate in this great training we are doing a hybrid course of on-line training combined with a lunch hour training once a week to build knowledge and skills as a CERT member.

This course consists of eight units and culminates in a “hands-on” disaster simulation that allows participants to experience an emergency as an on-scene responder. Upon completion of the program, students receive a certificate that identifies them as an emergency response team member during disaster response. This training will provide the student with the skills they will need to assist the George Fox Community and the Department of Security Services in responding to a real-world emergency or disaster.
