Grants & Scholarships

Federal and State Grants

Eligibility for the federal government's Pell Grant is determined by the information submitted on the FAFSA. The processor will send a Student Aid Report (SAR) to the student and a report to George Fox, indicating eligibility.  This grant is awarded to high need students.

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) is awarded to high need students according to eligibility standards set by the federal government. Funds from this program are available only to students who file the FAFSA and demonstrate extremely high need. Awards may be limited due to availability of funds.

The Oregon Opportunity Grant from the Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC) is awarded to students based on eligibility standards set by state regulations, results from the FAFSA and state residency.

Institutional Grants

George Fox University offers a scholarship to Adult Degree Completion students each fall and spring semester. Students are awarded $550 per semester. The faculty and staff of the degree completion program are the sole committee that selects recipients. More information concerning this scholarship.

External Scholarship Information

External scholarships must be counted as part of your total financial aid award.  External scholarships must be reported to your financial aid counselor through your MyGFU sign-in. 

There are many scholarship opportunities for students from sources outside George Fox University.  Students can locate scholarships through online searches.  Students should never pay a fee in order to apply for a scholarship.
