Dual Majors/Minors for Veterans
Dual Majors Program
One degree with two majors conferred on the student by the university after completion of all requirements for both majors.
Example: Bachelor of Science with a major in Geology and a major in Physical Science.
Dual major programs do not require State Approving Agency approval. Policies of the University for Dual Major Programs must be followed and course applicability for both majors must be tracked.
* Required Courses for the second major must be used to fulfill any electives in the first major.
Dual Degree/Multiple Objective Program
Two stand-alone degrees, or one degree and one certificate, or two certificates, conferred on the student by the university after completion of all requirements for each.
Example:
1. Bachelor of Arts in French
2. Bachelor of Science in Biology
Example:
1. Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science Technology
2. Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician
Dual degree/certificate programs must be approved by the State Approving Agency PRIOR to the veteran beginning the dual-degree program.

Return this completed application to the VA Certifying official.
