Yellow Ribbon Program
If you are receiving the Post-9/11 GI Bill at the 100% rate you may be eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Under the Yellow Ribbon program, if your tuition exceeds the national tuition cap for a private institution of higher learning ($19,198.31) as posted by the Veterans Administration, additional funds may be available for your education program without an additional charge to your entitlement. For more information, please visit the United States Department of Veterans Affairs Yellow Ribbon webpage.
George Fox University does not have an application form for the Yellow Ribbon Program. If you are eligible, you will be identified internally and evaluated by the VA Certifying Official. Funds will then be posted directly to your student account through the Financial Aid Process. GFU does not have a cap on the number of students that may be awarded Yellow Ribbon. Once awarded Yellow Ribbon, the VA will provide matching funds.
For the 2012/2013 Academic year, Yellow Ribbon students may be awarded up to:
- Traditional Undergraduate - $3000
- Adult Degree Program - $3000
- Masters - $1000
- Doctoral - $1000
