May Serve
May Serve is a three- to four-week-long ministry, missions and awareness trip during which students work with the people and culture of a specific country. May Serve is specifically designed for a team of students both individually and corporately to experience and understand Christ and his kingdom from a perspective outside their home culture of the United States. The team goes with the mind-set of being learners and servants. Our goal is to partner with missionaries and nationals through various work projects and relational ministry. We aspire to encourage them, help enhance their ministry, and come away with a greater understanding of the global kingdom of God and our role in it.
The basic purpose of the May Serve Program is:
- To be obedient to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ to carry out his Great Commission to "Go make disciples of all nations …" (Matthew 28:18-20)
- To provide an experience in which each team member will be personally challenged – spiritually, emotionally and culturally.
- To enhance awareness, exposure and deeper understanding of other cultures and explore future involvement in missions.
May Serve Timeline

There is an informational meeting specifically for the trip(s), with applications available at this meeting. Applications are due two weeks later. Applicants will be notified if they are chosen for an interview. The team is selected from the interview process and meets one to two times prior to Christmas break. Spring semester they meet weekly for fundraising, planning, prayer and preparation. Team members chosen are those who display a strong commitment to Christ, desire to learn, humility and flexibility.
