Information about Consolidating Student Loans
Rules vary between the Direct Loan Program (DL) and the Federal Family Education Loan program (FFEL). We offer the following links and materials to help you with the process.
We strongly suggest you contact your financial aid counselor if you considering consolidation. Depending on your situation, consolidation may make sense, or it may not. For example, you may wish to exclude your federal Perkins loan, or you may wish to include it depending on your situation.
Our financial aid counselors can assist you with questions related to consolidation. We are only listing the Direct Loan Consolidation link since most of our students have direct loans only. If you have both FFEL and Direct Loans, or FFEL only, we suggest you contact your financial aid counselor for assistance with the process.
The following links are offered as suggestions for help with the process. There are other consolidation options for students.
