Intramural Participant Handbook
ALUMNI
There is a limit of two George Fox alums per team unless the alum is a member of the faculty or staff.
FACULTY/STAFF
All faculty and staff are allowed and encouraged to participate in George Fox intramurals just as if they were a member of the student body.
GAME RESCHEDULING POLICY
Game rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 HOURS prior to game time.
Requests can be made by contacting Jared Nagreen at jnagreen06@georgefox.edu.
If the 48 hour mark has been surpassed the choice of whether to reschedule the game or to apply a no-show to the team requesting the change will be at the discretion of the opposing team due to the inconvenience placed upon them.
Once the opposing team has agreed to the newly rescheduled time, both teams are responsible for showing up. If one team can not field a team after the game has been officially been rescheduled, their team will take the no-show.
The IM staff reserves the right to deem any rescheduling request a no-show due to time and field constraints.
NO-SHOW POLICY
A No-Show is declared by an intramural supervisor when it is time for an intramural sport or activity to begin and a team has too few players to compete.
*One (1) no-show will result in the team being ineligible to advance to the playoffs.
*Two (2) no-shows will result in the team being DROPPED from play.
*Contests that are completed prior to a team being DROPPED from the league for no-shows shall be re-recorded as “wins” for the opposing team. Contests not yet played will also be recorded as "wins" for the opposing team. All scores will be defaulted to 1-0.
*Officials/Supervisors reserve the right, and retain the authority to deem a contest a no-show due to the late arrival of participants or due to unsportsmanlike and/or unsafe conduct.
