As an undergrad student: I can remember countless times of late-night conversations with good friends or good-humored pranks. Being a part of Residence Life and ASC (student government) were some of the best experiences of life. Walkabout, a week long hiking trip in the Sisters Mountains with your leadership staff, is one of the most fun and challenging weeks. You climb a mountain, spend a night solo in the woods, bond with people you never knew, eat food you'd never dare eat at home, and it's okay to not shower for a week! The laughs, jokes, blisters, bug bites, and leg cramps are all worth the experience with friends!
Favorite place to hang out in Portland/Newberg:
It's a toss-up between Newberg's Coffee Cottage and Portland's beautiful downtown sights. There is so much to see and do!
Hobbies or other interesting facts
Travel! I try to visit a new state/country/city every year. Dancing, tennis, Spanish ... I'm trying ... sign language, and piano. I used to work for a professional basketball team. Prior to my job, I knew very little about basketball. Now I have a growing appreciation for the game.
