"Those, like myself, whose imaginations far exceeds their obedience, are subject to a just penalty: We easily imagine conditions far higher than we have really reached. If we describe what we have imagined, we may make others, and make ourselves believe that we have really been there - and so deceive both them and ourselves." -C.S. Lewis (as quoted by Marti Ensign / www.renovare.org) Greetings from the campus of George Fox University and the Campus Ministries office. Can you relate to C.S. Lewis' words? When it comes to the faith journey Jesus Christ calls us to, it's so easy to slide into being what Brennan Manning calls "posers, fakers and wannabes." But God has a better plan. Campus Ministries Mission Statement Campus Ministries exists to present the person and message of Jesus Christ to students in ways gentle and bold, creative and caring, so they can pursue a growing relationship with him as their Savior (bringing them to salvation), Master (instructing them in life and godliness) and Shepherd (leading them into his will). All this is done so students can pattern their attitudes and actions, their goals and dreams, and their hearts and minds after those of Jesus Christ.
