Meal Plans

2008-09 Academic Year Meal Plan Options

Students are responsible to confirm their meal plans each semester and make any changes prior to the 2nd Friday of each semester. Students who fall to confirm their meal plans, and if eligible, make any changes, will be charged for the meal plan applied to their account even if they did not use the meal plan.

Please note: Students are responsible to select their own meal plans and confirm the charges on Bruindata no later than the 2nd week of each semester.

ALL meal plan purchases and changes must be processed through Bruindata. Students select their meal plans on Bruindata, under MY DATA, UNIVERSITY FORMS , MEAL PLAN.

Meal Plan expectations for residential students are as follows:

All freshmen (31 credits or less) must participate in the 21 meal plan ($1750 per semester).

Sophomores with 31 credits or more may choose from either the 21 meal plan ($1750 per semester) or the 14 meal plan. ($1565 per semester).

Juniors with 62 credits or more may choose between the 21 meal plan ($1750 per semester) the 14 meal plan ($1565 per semester), the 10 meal plan ($1395 per semester) or the 10 meal plan + $100 flex points ($1495 per semester)

Seniors with 93 credits or more and commuters may select any meal plan option:

  • 21 meal plan ($1750 per semester)
  • 14 meal plan ($1565 per semester)
  • 10 meal plan + $100 flex ($1495 per semester)
  • 10 meal plan ($1395 per semester)
  • 7 Meal Plan with $100 flex points ($1100 per semester)
  • 35 meal block plan ($335, renewable, meals are transferable from fall to spring but not spring to fall)
  • $350 Flex Plan ~ (monies on this plan are transferable from fall to spring but NOT spring to fall)
  • No meal Plan
  • "Bruin Bucks" are available through the Bon Appetit office in the Student Union Building. "Bruin Bucks" are applied to the students ID card and functions as a debit card for meals purchased in the dining room, Villa Academic Center, Le Shana Cafe or Bruins Den.

     How to add the 35 Meal Plan to your account:
    Students who qualify for the 35 can purchase them for the first time on Bruindata. The 35 can be purchased multiple times during the semester. To renew the 35 plan, email Jere Witherspoon in the Student Life Office with the following information:

    • Your name
    • Your 6-digit student ID number
    • The meal plan you wish to purchase

    Please note: 35 and $350 meal plans are transferable from fall to spring but not spring to fall.
