Students who will be granted off-campus residency fall into two main categories: commuters and seniors. Commuters are students who are commuting from their parents' home, married students living off campus, undergraduate students 23 years old or older as of Sept. 1 of the current year, and fifth-year seniors. Seniors are students with 93 or more college/university credits, or students who will be in their fourth year since graduating from high school and have completed three full-time years of college. The university is committed to housing students in their first three years of traditional undergraduate education. Therefore, students who are 23 years or older, fifth-year seniors, or married students generally do not live on campus and must apply to live off campus. Students who are 23 years or older and students who are fifth-year seniors can petition the director of housing for permission to live on campus. |
