Backpacking and Kayaking
Tilikum Adventure Programming is partnering with YD Adventures for wilderness exploration.
Who: Next year's 10th-12th graders
When: Aug. 1-6
Where: Olympic National Park and The Clackamas River
Why:
- To grow spiritually. We go out with an openness for God to reveal Himself through Creation, through Scripture, and through others. Our hope is that participants would grow closer in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
- To gain a better understanding of ourselves in relation to God and others.
- To practice servant leadership in community.
- To grow in courage and perseverance.
How:
- Backpacking in a wilderness environment
- Kayaking
- Living simply, away from distractions
- Navigating with a map and compass
- Scripture study and journaling
- Times of reflection including a solo experience
Cost: $350($325 if registered 3 weeks prior)
