SUMMER CAMP OFFICE MANAGER
Position Description| Reports To: | Program Director/Day Camp Manager |
| Supervises Directly: | Campers and volunteer counselors |
| Purpose For The Position: | To manage the appearance and activity of Tilikum's Summer Camp office, coordinate camper registration, and assist with program planning, staff training, and the day to day operation of the summer camp programs. |
Essential Responsibilities:
Office Management
- Communicate effectively and courteously with others, including campers, volunteer counselors, parents, and staff, in a spirit of teamwork, respect, and customer service.
- Greet campers, volunteer counselors, etc. and direct them to the appropriate person or place.
- Answer and process incoming phone calls.
- Administer first-aid to campers as necessary.
- Work with Program Director, Office Manager, Day Camp Manager and On-Site Directors in the various tasks of Day Camp, Quest, and High Adventure Camp management.
Registration
- Work with Office Manager in supervising Monday morning registration process.
- Complete data entry & assist with billing procedures each week.
- Complete T-shirt distribution each week.
- Beginning in March, meet biweekly with Day Camp Manager and On-Site Directors.
- Discuss camp curriculum, activities, staff training, etc.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:- Maintain a growing and vital relationship with Jesus Christ and exemplify that relationship in his/her daily life, including interaction with fellow summer staff, year round staff, volunteer counselors, and campers.
- Be at least one year out of high school.
- Attitude of service and a commitment to ministry.
- Versatile and flexible, with the ability and interest in handling a variety of tasks.
- Proficiency in operating word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
- Possess a working knowledge of general office procedures; Detail oriented.
- Willingness to do minor, necessary and sometimes dirty details.
- Good physical condition including the ability to manage rugged terrain and lift 50 pounds.
